Making Love in a Canoe is a voyage through the world of Canadian musical theatre. From the classics (Anne of Green Gables) to contemporary song cycles (Variations on a Nervous Breakdown) and cabarets (the music of Nancy White), Canada’s best repertoire and writers are presented with fun and flair.
Kyle Golemba takes the stage as tour guide. “A singing Stuart McLean”, he regales the audience with stories from his coast-to-coast travels as an actor, and tales from the history of Canada’s great musicals. Accompanied by music director Adam White, Kyle introduces the audience to his favourite home-grown tunes, sharing his love of all things Canuck.
This 90-minute “sonnet to Canadian culture” will make you laugh, make you sing, and leave you feeling proud to be Canadian, eh!
